A CD, a reference books and some age appropriate reading books, as well as useful information, booklets for parents to help them raise their children with Irish. The content may vary from time to time.
Parents can use the books and CDs to help them speak more Irish at home before the child goes to school, in their natural environment so that they see Irish as a spoken language rather than merely a school subject.
If you speak Irish at home already it should help to foster a grá for reading as Gaeilge and they can enjoy the stories. The act of reading together will strengthen the bond between parent and child as nothing beats snuggling up with your parent and reading a book together.
Parents who wish to use more Gaeilge at home can enjoy reading Irish language books to their children agus arouse their interest again in Irish words/phrases/terms which will increase their Irish vocabulary. Children love having books read to them and reading these books will introduce them to stories as Gaeilge.
